Finished season five!
I'm getting there...slowly, but surely! Let's start with something I much anticipated...Roger and Jane's divorce. I've been yelling at Roger since the show started that he should leave Mona (and then Jane, who he never should have married in the first place!) for Joan. Loved the one scene where they reconnected in the alley and he gets her pregnant. I know thee are plenty of reasons that Roger and Joan aren't together, the least of which is that he couldn't deserve her less, but that doesn't stop me from hoping he'll eventually wise up and realize what he could have! I was really disappointed, but not surprised when he didn't stand up for Joan not to sleep with the guy from Jaguar. When did Don become the only stand-up guy in the room? I really enjoyed Don taking Joan out to the dealership, having a drink with her and trying to stop her from sleeping with that sleazy guy (even if he was too late). Is this the new and improved Don?
I also really like Beth and Pete. Mostly because I really like Alexis Bledel. I really wanna know if that's going to go anywhere. Since she didn't know who he was in the hospital I'm going to say no which would be sad.
Onto things I didn't love so much...
LANE?!?! That poor weirdo. Don't have too much to say about that, except it was sad.
Peggy leaves SDCP (why is Draper the second name?)? So not cool, though I understand why. I really wanted Don to talk her out if it, but she stuck to her guns.
Betty is officially the worst mother ever. I felt so bad for Sally when she got her period and all she wanted was a hug from her mother. When I first started watching, one of you guys (sorry I don't remember who!) told me to watch how Sally grows up with all the dysfunction in her life. This poor kid is going to need a ton of therapy. Found it really interesting when she told Glen she wants Henry to leave Betty. Does that mean she sees how good Henry is? Or she just wants Betty to be alone?
I'm going to start on season six as soon as I figure out the best way to watch it since it's not own Netflix. Hopefully AMC has it on demand or I'm going to have to buy the season on Amazon. I've gone back to Lost, and I swear I'm going to finish it this time! I got like halfway through season six last time and I was utterly confused. I had absolutely no clue what was going on. So I've started from season five (which I'm almost done with), and the whole time traveling bit is making a lot more sense. It's when we get to the temple in season six that I'm like huh? Hopefully in the second go I'll pay a lot more attention, and figure out what the hell is going on.
Sorry if there are any typos. I'm using my new iPad :D and I'm just getting the hang of it. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
