This will be brief because it's been a few days since it ended and I just wanna get some general thoughts out:

-I find it weird, but totally in character that Peggy drops a bomb like that on Pete and then neither of them acknowledge it.
-I'm enjoying the relationship between Don and Peggy. It strikes me as big brother-little sister.
-Roger and Jane make absolutely NO SENSE. He needs to be with Joan ASAP.
-Joan's husband is a giant douche. LOVED it when she broke the vase over his head.
-The secretary mowing over that guys foot was DISGUSTING!

Okay so that leaves us with Betty/Don. I really never expected her to leave his ass (until I spoiled myself). I have to say it makes me respect her so much more than I already did. He thought he could run around on her, and she's like ABSOLUTELY NOT. But it's kinda heartbreaking that the straw that broke the camel's back was his secrets! Don't keep that shit in your house, Draper!

I'd love to know what everyone thought of that whole thing. Don's all ready to go on some illicit vacation with Suzanne (who sucks, btw) then Betty drops this bomb on him and he's pale as a ghost and sweating profusely cuz SHE KNOWS. She knows and it's over and is that him finally remorseful? Because he got caught or because he genuinely cares about losing his family? Was Betty someone who'd always be there, until she wasn't?

I legit cried when they told the kids and Bobby's like "Daddy I don't want you to go."

And then there was this joyful bit:

Don always hits rock bottom and resurrects himself... until he hits the next rock bottom.

I'm not sure I buy the rock bottoms or the resurrections any longer. Don is just... Don.

Although, who knows, there's always the next resurrection.

The lawn mower thing was horrible. I can handle fantasy gore, but RL machine gore always freaks me out.

I feel like Don's freaking out was more about being found out than losing his family tbh. He's MASSIVELY invested in his constructed persona -- without his (false) "Don Draper" identity he has nothing. And, yeah, Betty was always supposed to just ~be~ there. What is effort!

PETE AND TRUDY, RIGHT? <<<<3333

I'm torn because I feel bad for him, but he essentially does it to himself so he kinda deserves it?

Me too! Vampires ripping people's throats out I can handle but that was just nasty!

Yeah I didn't think about how he'd be losing his arm candy. Another question for you: Why do you think Don was so annoyed with Roger this season? It happened right after Roger left Mona for Jane so I think it's because of that, but I wasn't 100% sure.

Trudy has really grown on me. At first she was just some spoiled, high-pitched girl, but I actually really like her and I like how she can handle Pete in her girlish way.

Over the course of the series I tend to identify more with the female characters, so as time goes by I have less and less sympathy for Don (and I didn't have huge amounts of it to begin with). I actually have more sympathy for Pete and... he's a tool in his own right! :D

My memory of S3 is fuzzy but I think maybe Don was just judgmental of Roger actively ruining his own reputation? Don really values upholding pretence. So, it's okay for Roger to cheat on Mona with his secretary, but lame for him to advertise it.
