On a much more serious note, I hope that everyone who was in the path of Hurricane Sandy is all right. There was a lot of destruction in NY and NJ (as I'm sure you know). I was very fortunate to only be without power. Things are crazy up here right now. People have lost their homes to water and fire. People are standing on line for gas for HOURS. It's honestly something I never thought I'd see happen in this area. I'm so lucky to come out of this unscathed, and I hope all my f-listies affected are okay.

seasonal_spuffy fic written! I didn't procrastinate as much as usual, surprisingly enough. I wanted to write some more yesterday, but that didn't work out - hopefully today.

womenlovefest is a new community for the Women That Fandom Hates. A lot of my f-list has already pimped this community, and are actively participating in it. Sadly, I don't have the time (all my fandom time is going to be devoted to cranking out SS fic) to claim the bad-ass women I love, but I'm enjoying the posts from my f-list.

Gone, but not forgotten. 9/11/11. I can't believe it's been ten years. So proud to be an American, but more importantly, a New Yorker.

18 hours without power. Thank GOD we finally got it back. It's crazy how dependent I am on television/internet. We had some flooding in addition to the power loss, so tomorrow will be spent cleaning. It's so weird because on Friday the weather was gorgeous, warm, and sunny, and it's going to be the same tomorrow. Kinda weird that a natural disaster took place between the two!

It's good to be back amongst civilization. The hurricane wasn't as bad as they were saying, thankfully. I hope everyone who's on the East Coast made it through okay!

My boredom is probably pretty obvious after the two meme's I just posted.

Firstly, I want to thank japewierd once again for helping me out with my LJ. She's so amazing and helpful. Thanks again.

I was really hoping that the weatherman would be wrong, but it is snowing and it is accumulating. Couldn't this have been pushed back a day? It's supposed to stop tonight which means I'll probably have school tomorrow. And I can't skip because I've missed the past four classes and I have a chem test which I completely forgot about until right now. Great. The only thing snow is good for is days off school and that doesn't look like it'll be happening :(

So, it looks like I'll be having a lazy day in my room today. Full of reading and writing fic when I should be doing homework and studying.

I know everyone is putting up this reminder, but I just wanted to get on the bandwagon. The fic I wrote for seven_seasons is part of a poll at that community under Short Fics so if you liked it please go and vote for me. Thanks to those of you who already have.

Today is such a lazy day, I really wish I didn't have to go to work. We're supposed to get a foot of snow or something Saturday night and I work in a supermarket. When people hear snow they go crazy and it's like the weather man predicted a freaking apocalyse! People are nuts, like they're gonna be snowed in for days. We live on LONG ISLAND, not in Vermont! Stop up on water and batteries, just in case... (that was sarcasm)

I'm working on a new fic, already have a bunch of chapters done. This idea just took me and I haven't been able to stop writing. Weird, because this has never happened to me before. As you could probably tell, I have a short attention span and it's better if I do things quickly than let them sit off to the side *coughcaptivecough*. I don't know when I'll be posting it, but it's off to the beta so I'm crossing my fingers that she'll get it back to me soon.

Okay, I know I barely post and tonight I'm posting three in a row, but I just saw this and I thought it was funny. Not saying I'm anything like this (...yeah ok)

Yes "BRO" I Live on Long Island. I curse a lot. I say "yo", and I say it often. I sure as hell don't pump my own gas. I know what real pizza tastes like, and I know that a bagel is much more than a fuckin roll with a hole in the middle. And yes, it's a hero not a grinder, hoagie or sub. Two words...mother fucker. I don't go to the shore, I go to the beach. I drink cawfee and I love chawklit. I use tru and madd in all sentences. WICKED = WACK. Coming home at 4am is an early night and only the good ones end at a diner. I also know that 55mph really means 80 bitch. When someone cuts me off, they get the horn AND the finger... and expect it. Don't get angry cause I tawk loud and sarcastically, I'm from Long Island and proud of it!

All of that's pretty true, except I hate the word WACK! Anyone else from Long Island (NEW YORK?)?
