SIGH and a birthday

I totally jinxed myself! The PSP X came in the mail today and when I go to install it I get this message:
Windows cannot read from this disc. The disc might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows.
GRRR...It should be compatible with Windows according to the booklet that came with it!! So I just emailed the company since apparently their technical support line is in the middle of a revamp and is unaccessable. Why me?
In other news I really wanna travel to England in the next few months. I'm thinking May when I have off from college and it's a little cheaper then the summer months. For those of you who live in London (the city area) can you suggest any cheap but nice hotels? I've looked at a few online, but it's hard to tell. Airfare is a bitch, but unfortunately Jet Blue doesn't fly to London :( Also, I'll need some suggestions on what to do while I'm there. Sight seeing, but mostly good clubs and malls and that sort of thing.
On a happier note, Happy Birthday to
spikespetslayer! Hope your day is better than mine.
I almost forgot-
captivatiingly had made me a new icon (re:icon used in this post). Isn't it purdy?

Date: 2006-03-08 05:53 pm (UTC)What would like to see while you're here? History? Culture? Make sure you go on the London Eye.
I know bugger all about hotels, and my club knowledge is rather rusty these days.

Date: 2006-03-09 12:10 am (UTC)where in London are you interested in? I'll have a look around, but you can get some cheap deals at some travel-lodge style places ... guess it depends on the experience you're looking for (but I'll have a look around, as must admit I don't use hotels here myself *g*) - shopping wise, I'd probably go for Covent Garden, Oxford/Carnaby street and Greenwich
plus very pretty icon :)
