fanfic author appreciation part I

This is probably going to be incredibly long (or not, depending on how lazy I get) because I read fanfic A LOT!

My number one all time favorite fic is Older by nautibitz. Such an amazing fic and load of Spuffy smut. I'm sure I don't even need to go on about it, because everyone has probably read it so onto my next fav...

The Baby Series by Mrs. Muir. I could read it a hundred times (almost have) and never get sick of it! One of the main reasons I love this fic is because it's so original. Spike isn't the typical vampire, he acts like he did on the show but Mrs. Muir gets really into his character (especially in the first part which is Spike first person) and does an amazing job with it. The relationship between Buffy and Spike is very original with Buffy depending a lot on him when her life sucks. The best part is that it's almost as though Spike's more of a Scooby than Buffy is. He's really a part of the gang in this fic which is nice. She uses all the characters from Buffy and Angel and puts a spin on everything so it's similar to canon, but completely AU. I pretty much love anything Mrs. Muir does, but this was one of my favorites from her.


Baby Steps by kallysten is another favorite of mine. Haven't read it in a while, so I'm sure I'll be checking it out soon.

_a_s_h_l_e_e_-An all around great author. Some of my favorites from her are Broken, Guilty Pleasures,  Desires and Deception and everything else she's written but those are my top 3. I also love Twice Upon a Time which she wrote with Allison.

brat42-Another one of my favorite authors. I'm currently reading all her WIPs and have read all of her completed fics. She's great with her ideas and her writing is wonderful. She's been getting a lot of flack from reviewers lately so if you read her fics remember to leave a nice review for her :)

Forgotten by enchantress4eva Amnesia Spuffy with Angel thrown in and a baby. What's not to love? 

In Omne Tempus by hollydb-Early season Spuffy. Can't go wrong.

I have a horrible memory so these are all I can remember right now, and I'm sure I'm missing people so stay tuned for part II.

Definitely have to agree with you about Older - one of my all time favorites (I think only surpassed by Pepperlandgirl's 'Mad' series, but it's no longer on the internet). I'm really going to have to catch up on some fics, but thank you so much for what you said! Those are some of the fics I'm most proud of and Alli and I had so much fun writing Twice :-) I'm so glad you liked it!

Pepperlandgirl is awesome! I just recently read Mad and Mr. William series and I loved them both. I really think Twice is my favorite of your fics. A lot of authors don't like to seperate Spike and Buffy, and I really liked that you guys did. It's more realistic.

Quick question: do you beta? *does wide smile* I just recently started writing and while spikeskat is doing one of my stories, I've picked up quite a few I started before too... :P IF you do, I generally motivate my beta-s with photoshop gifts... like icons for their fics, or lj/site headers... :P soz, I get it if you just read, but figured it was worth a shot! Drop me a line if you're interested/want more info though, :D

Actually I've only beta'd one short fic before. But I'd be willing to if you don't mind the lack of experience. One thing though, I only read Spuffy and would only want to beta Spuffy stories. Let me know what you think.
