Hmm, very tough question. I do think she did love Spike, not deeply, madly in love, but love nonetheless. I would say...hmm. Maybe around Beneath Me or Never Leave Me. She could have just killed Spike after going on his killing spree, but she didn't even consider it, and she was there to help him through all the craziness. This one was a toughie though! I might have to keep pondering this...

My answer would be that Buffy had feelings simmering below the surface for Spike that she didn't want to examine or put a name to. It wasn't love until season 7, and I think the real turning point was when Spike was taken by the bringers. You know what they say, you don't know what you have til it's gone.

Wow... before scrolling down, I was going to ask you this EXACT question. Since I missed the boat, though, I will ask this one instead: Why do you think Buffy spared Spike's life in S4, particularly after Spike's betrayal of her with Adam?

I think that Buffy spares Spike because the only way she's ever going to take him down is a one-on-one fight. In The Harsh Light of Day she wouldn't have thought twice about staking him because they were in a fight to the death, so to speak. As much as she can't stand him in season 4 if he isn't an immediate danger to her and her friends, she's not going to stake him because she can.

My question to you is who is your favorite character in the Buffyverse and what is one thing that annoys you about them?

So you're saying Buffy spares him out of pride? I can totally see that, actually, and I hadn't considered it before.

My favorite character is Willow. One thing that annoys me about her? I could write a pretty long list. :D The main thing is that she uses her gifts -- empathy, intelligence, magic -- selfishly. Sometimes out of malice, sometimes out of insecurity, sometimes because she just lacks a clear sense of personal and ethical boundaries.

This is a tricky one, but I'd have to say Buffy & Dawn. The relationship between them is so real. Being an older sister, I completely get the feeling of responsibility for your siblings. I have a really great relationship with my sister, so I think it kinda biases me toward sister relationships.

ANSWER: Willow & Xander. I'm kind of dubious about the strength of the Scoobs' group friendship, but I always believed that those two particularly really had known each other FOREVER and were the most important people in each other's lives. Plus, that "Grave" scene. BAWL.

Oh man, SO HARD!! I'm the person who sits back baffled by the amazing writing, not the person who's shouting out that I TOTALLY CALLED THAT! So needless to say my response is going to be lame, but here goes. I'd like to see Stefan and Damon fight over Elena. I know, you're saying but they fight over her all the time. I mean full on teeth bared vamp fight. Cuz that would be hot.

I'm gonna throw that question back at you because it was a really good one, and hopefully you can come up with something better than me! In addition, who are your favorite and least favorite characters?

This is harsh, because I kind of love each and every one of them... My favorites would be Caroline, Damon, Jenna and Alaric, and I refuse to choose just one, because I'm incapable of choosing between Caroline and Damon. She is just so wonderfully written, the way she is developing as a character and as a person is astonishing, and she is just pure awesomeness. As for Damon, I just can't help it. I have a thing for characters doing stupid things for love, and I'm totally consumed by his arc of No Redemption. I'm cheap that way.

Least favorite? Matt, probably. Right now he is the only one from the main cast I do not have feelings about.

The one thing I want to happen? I want Stefan to become the Big Bad of season three! You know, not in a way that he wants to destroy the world or something; just a little private hell of him not being able to come back to his former self. And being evil because he chooses so, not because he is compelled. It's just in season two they had the oldest vampire in history of time, and hybrids, and a bloody ritual, and I can't imagine the writers coming up with an external danger for s3 finale that would be worse than Klaus. So I'd love if they decided to have some sort of "internal" danger in the end of s3, i.e. Stefan on a loose.

Actually, it might be a good framing for Damon and Stefan to fight over Elena at some point, don't you think? ;)

Yes!!! ever_neutral posted about the complete cop out of Stefan being compelled by Klaus here (http://ever-neutral.livejournal.com/42969.html#cutid1). I was SO EXCITED for evil, badass Stefan, but now at the end of it all they can wipe it away so easily as IT'S NOT HIS FAULT? That just isn't going to work for me.

But yeah, definitely want to see some hot & sweaty Salvatore fighting.
