spuffy_noelleI finally have the next chapter of Out of Reach off to my beta's. I had a bit of writer's block this month, but I think I'm back on track now and hope to have chapters out more frequently. While I wait for the edits to come back to me, why not do an icon meme?
1. Reply to this post with "THE WEATHER'S DEFINITELY TURNED; I'VE ALWAYS LOVED THE AUTUMN," and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.

"Once More With Feeling" is one of my all-time favorite BtVS episodes. I got this icon when I had a OMWF layout, along with a bunch of other OMWF icons to pretty up my sidebars.
Does this icon even need explaining? I want to play doctor with Spike. Who among us can say they wouldn't want to?? Plus the blues in this icon are really purdy!

I have a serious thing for British guys. Spike, Wesley, Jude Law, Hugh Grant, Stephen Moyer... For those of you that are wondering I'm also very much into Australia accents! Hugh Jackman, Ryan Kwanten. I'm finding it very hard to think of more British/Australian guys at the moment, but if they have an accent I most probably will be keeping calm while thinking of them!
SPIKE SAVED THE FREAKING WORLD. And what kind of credit does he get? When he returns to AtS, he is once again regarded as the annoying asshole vampire who can do no right. That REALLY annoyed me when I finally got around to watching AtS. Thank God for post-series fan fiction because the way Spike's story line was handled...well in my opinion it wasn't done well!

And that's because Angel is a jealous jerk who covers up his deep. deep insecurity with smugness, arrogance and belittling others Maybe not always, but at the time he was feeling really bad about himself, due to making a deal with the devil and working for Wolfram & Hart, and he felt threatened by Spike, as someone who was taking over the role he believed was his, that of vampire-champion/hero (with Shanshu and Buffy's love as trophies that go with it... probably in that order). This was pretty clear from the start of the season, and explicit in Soul Purpose. At no point were we supposed to think that Angel was in the right.
The others weren't treating him badly but mostly weren't interacting with him much at all, because they were Angel's friends first and foremost (other than Harmony), though Fred did care and told Angel just what she thought about his behavior. But it's really Spike's fault that he decided to stick around even after he become able to leave, instead of going to people who would show him more respect.
