more coherent thoughts on season 2 of Veronica Mars

As you could probably tell from my first incoherent rambling post, I did not see Cassidy Casablancas being the killer (AND Veronica's rapist?!) and I'm not too happy with that outcome.  Yeah, I love it when a show surprises me, but NO!  Just, no.  Although I have to say the performances by Kristen Bell and Kyle Gallner were flawless.  And it doesn't hurt that Logan came to her rescue again.  I enjoyed that verrrrrry much.



>>  I didn't think it was possible for me to hate Lamb any more than I already did, but then he went and arrested Weevil on his GRADUATION DAY knowing how much it would embarrass him.  I get that Weevil is probably a pain in the ass to the lawmen of Neptune, but IDGAF!  Weevil is my man DO NOT FUCK WITH HIM.  Unfortunately I just read a spoiler of what's going to happen with Lamb in season 3 (damn you tumblr!).  I missed Weevil & Veronica's tentative friendship from season 1 this season.  On the other hand I did enjoy him and Logan working together.

>>  Gotta say as much as I liked the whole Duncan-has-a-baby-and-now-has-to-kidnap-said-baby, I was happy to see him go?  I just don't get him and Veronica together.  They seem more like really good friends who make out and have sex.  I don't mind him as a character, but I would've liked it better if it had went down like it did in Veronica's dream in 2x22.  Except the her and Wallace not being friends thing because, no.

>>  I kinda hate when I'm all set to hate a character and then the show goes and makes me rethink my hatred.  I knew this was going to happen with Jackie.  Literally couldn't stand the bitch in the beginning of the season, but by the end I didn't mind her so much.  That being said I definitely won't miss her in season 3.  The inappropriate daddy touching at the end of the season didn't help her case AT ALL with me, either.  Yikes, that just seriously creeped me out.

I'm sure I have more thoughts than that, but yeah that's it for right now.  I ordered season 3 on amazon, but IDK if I can wait until next week to start watching (hello Flexview on demand!).  I have a sickening feeling that just like season 1 -> season 2, they've got my hopes up high for Logan/Veronica, but they're about to be smashed the fuck down.  I also have a feeling this is going to be my second favorite show EVUH (right behind Buffy of course), and that I'm going to be obsessively watching episodes for the LoVe factor.

Denouncing sounds like a good idea...it just made about zero sense. I mean, there are other way less complicated ways to kill 2 high school students. It was like all the other leads made sense and then out of nowhere Veronica knows it's Cassidy, and that's it. Hmm..?

I'm going through serious VM withdrawals right now! I'm trying not to order it on demand because it's $3 an episode and I know I won't be able to just watch one LOL Guess I'll just have to wait til it comes sometime this week from Amazon.

Agreed. Hated that ending with Cassidy being some kind of criminal mastermind. It made more sense for the mayor to be the killer. The confrontation was so well acted though. Both actors committed fully. Speaking of the retcon rape, I always wondered why Veronica never went after Dick for inadvertently drugging her and encouraging his brother to rape her when she was unconscious. Dick just gets a free pass for that?

She did not get the Kane Scholarship. She walked out of her last final exam to be at the reading of the Aaron Echols verdict and thus lost the scholarship.

I adored the hell out of Jackie inviting that boy to the dance <3 AND I LOVED HER in the magic mountain fair thing episode.

I HATED how Weevil didn't get to get his diploma :(((((((((

And we didn't even get a scene with Logan accepting his :(

Yeah, I liked Jackie in those two scenes also. I couldn't stand her bitch persona in the beginning, but ya know I guess people have layers? She wasn't a favorite of mine, but taking that kid to the dance was pretty amazing of her.

I feel like I need to watch the last episode again because I was so overwhelmed by everything else that was going on that I feel like I didn't absorb anything graduation related. WHYYY wouldn't we get to see Logan crossing the stage??? Makes no sense.

I think I started liking her more as soon as all of her moves on the show stopped being about trying to get Wallace and compete with Veronica for his love and attention.
