Thoughts on Lost

I'm trying to organize my thoughts right now cuz my mind?  Totally fucked by Lost.

All right so I've seen up to 3x04. Here's what's going on:

-> Sawyer, Kate and Jack have been taken by THE OTHERS. Jack just figured out they might want him there for his surgeon skills. Kate and Sawyer are locked in cages.
-> Echo blew up the hatch.
-> Sayid, Sun and Jin are somewhere on the island by themselves because THE OTHERS took their boat.

I despise THE OTHERS. Like I literally just had to turn it off (after watching it for hours this weekend) because I want to kill all THE OTHERS. Especially Ben who is a sneaky little weasel. As I'm watching him beat the shit outta Sawyer, I'm like seriously? Sawyer would kill this guy. And then they put a pacemaker in him? When they can't even save their friend from a gunshot wound? Pretty sure a pacemaker would take just as much if not a lot more skill. Luckily weasel-y Ben cleared that up at the end of the last episode.

I'm having Sawyer/Kate feelings. I was waiting for that to happen, and I wasn't sure if I was going to go for Kate/Sawyer or Kate/Jack. It's happened and for now it's Kate/Sawyer. Maybe it's just that they're together all the time and looking out for each other, but I'm enjoying it.





I think the reason I despise THE OTHERS so much is because I'm frustrated. I don't like my people being so powerless. These OTHERS think they're the good guys? Why even bother with the plane crash-ees? They sought them out, killed some of them and now kidnapped some. I NEED ANSWERS.

I know the end-game of this show. I knew it way before I had any interest in watching the seasons. So now I'm probably completely overanalyzing because I know. If I didn't know my first question would be: Where the hell did these OTHERS get all this info on Jack? I NEED ANSWERS (from the show, please don't spoil me ;)).

All right done with Lost for the day. Time for the Golden Globes!

LOL @ you capitalising THE OTHERS repeatedly in frustration. ^^) I honestly love the Others, though, they're such creepy/effective antagonists.

Also, not surprised you ship Kate/Sawyer at all. ;)

It really shouldn't be a surprise. Sawyer is such a hot sarcastic jerk - what's not to love?? It sucks cuz I can't even check out tumblr or look for icons cuz I don't wanna get spoiled. When I went on tumblr before to get the gifs in this post I saw Kate and Sawyer gettin' naughty in one of their cages. Oh well, at least it's something to look forward to in the upcoming episodes!!

THE OTHERS. Like I said I am so frustrated that they have my people so powerless. I love to hate them cuz you're right they are so perfectly creepy and I can't wait to watch the rest of the show cuz I wanna know everything!

I will be interested to track your opinion of Ben as S3 continues on. S3 is by far my favorite of all the seasons of LOST, and yes to shipping Kate/Sawyer FOREVER. Just remember "It's stressful being an Other, Jack." You won't hear that until S4 ;-)

I'll be sure to try and keep posting my thoughts. I literally watched 15 episodes between yesterday and today after setting the show aside for a few weeks. I can't wait to keep watching now and see if I stick with Kate/Sawyer and see who else I add to the list (Boone/Shannon were my first ship).

Boone and Shannon are quite squicky and dysfunctional...but infinitely interesting to watch. Such great chemistry. It's too bad they had to die so soon!

ETA: I don't know if you know this, but Ian said he based a lot of what he did as Damon early on off what Josh Holloway did as Sawyer because that's the character he wanted to be on LOST. Which explains my infinite love for Damon, because before him, Sawyer was my #1!

I was honestly devastated when Boone died and then when Shannon got shot I couldn't believe my eyes! Figures the two characters I liked the most would die off first.

No I never heard that before, but it makes sense. I loved him as Boone so I can't say I'd rather he have played Sawyer cuz lets be real Josh Holloway is gorgeous! But it's funny that he's basing some of Damon on Sawyer.

I love Josh Holloway, too, and I'm still bitter he never got an Emmy nomination as Sawyer--just wrong. Ian was way too young then to play Sawyer, but it's interesting that he was drawn to that character and then got the opportunity to play Damon. Because, let's face it, for all of Boone's sweetness, Damon would snap his whiny neck, and that just cracks me up.

OH MY GOD. Watching LOST for the first time..I'd kill to have those moments back. This is one hell of a tv show.

And I can't really say anything about Sawyer and Kate...cause I ship Jack and Kate with all my heart. But Skate can be cute sometimes :)
And you're right, for now it's Sawyer and Kate...I won't say anything. I WON'T SAY ANYTHING!!!!

So...favorite character? episode? thoughts??? I'm dying to talk about LOST.

Why am I not surprised that you ship Jack and Kate?? I love Jack...Matthew Fox is the reason I decided to watch the show (well, him and Ian). I was a huge Charlie Salinger fan growing up and I've lived everything I've ever seen MF in since then. I asked a friend of mine who watched the show when it was on who she liked Kate with and she said she wouldn't tell me because something happens in season 3 that made up her mind so I can't wait to get to that and see how I feel!

Favorite character is so hard! I honestly don't dislike anyone (except THE OTHERS). And I still find them interesting while hating them. Favorites would have to be Jack, Boone, Sawyer, Sun and John Locke. I wouldn't say I have a favorite episode, but I really like the ones that have me gasping like I did when Shannon died and then ironically enough when Anna Lucia died. I liked the episode after Boone died when we got to see his and Shannon's relationship from her POV.

What are your favorite moments based on what I've seen so far?

Ahahaha...well, Matthew Fox is beyond words...he is amazing. Seriously, perfection.

I love Sawyer and Sun as well...besides Jack and Kate. My favorites are those two and Hurley and Charlie. I love these four so much.

My favorite moments, as you said the one where Shannon dies is done beautifully and also the episode where Ana Lucia dies. There is a moment in The Pilot where Kate help Jack with his wound and he tells her: "You're not running now"...that made my heart explode so that's one of the favorites...ok any moment with them is sealed in my heart
BUT beside them...Hurley's story is one of my favorites mainly cause he's such a cutie pie...as well as Charlie, Kate and Jack's past. What I love about LOST is every little moment when they address something and you don't get an explanation, I love the little things that you don't notice until 4 seasons later...

I love the very initial scene in Pilot, when we discover Locke was in a weelchair, when we see the Others' lives and then there are lots of scene but I can't tell you now :)
